Blocking Document and Screenshot Sharing

These two features prevent you from accidentally sharing files or screenshots with AI chatbots.

Block Document Sharing​

When turned on, this stops you from uploading files to ChatGPT or Claude. It blocks:

  • Clicking the file attachment button
  • Dragging and dropping files into the chat

To turn on:

  1. Go to the Shields tab
  2. Expand Premium Shield
  3. Toggle "Block Document Sharing" to on

Block Screenshot Sharing​

When turned on, this prevents pasting images from your clipboard. Text pasting still works normally — only image/screenshot pastes are blocked.

To turn on:

  1. Go to the Shields tab
  2. Expand Premium Shield
  3. Toggle "Block Screenshot Sharing" to on

When either of these blocks a sharing attempt, you will see a brief notification message on screen that disappears on its own.

Announcing On-Demand Document Scanning​

Coming Soon — Inline Document Scanning

A new feature is already planned that will scan documents for sensitive information before you upload them — rather than simply blocking the upload. This will work on any website, so you could use it to check a document for risks before attaching it to an email, uploading it to ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or anywhere else.
